Every access to our homepage and every retrieval of a file stored on the homepage is logged in server log files. The storage is for internal system-related and statistical purposes. By registering for an event organized by Th. Geyer GmbH & Co. KG, you consent to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of holding the event.
We process your data according to article 6 paragraph 1 lit a) GDPR on the basis of your consent. By registering, you expressly agree that Th. Geyer GmbH & Co. KG as the organizer as well as the exhibiting companies may use the data within the scope of the event. Th. Geyer GmbH & Co. KG ensures that the rights of the participant will be safeguarded.
This consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
Right of access, rectification and deletion
Upon request, you will receive information free of charge about your personal data stored with us, its origin and recipient and the purpose of data processing as well as a right to correction, restriction of processing or deletion of this data. Your data, first name, surname, email address and password entered during subscription are only collected and saved in order to use our offer. On subscribing to our website, we also save your IP address and the data and time of your subscription. This serves as security for us in case a third party misuses your data and subscribes to our website using your data without your knowledge. Your data is not passed on to third parties. No comparison is made of data collected in this way with data which may be collected by other components on our website.
Our website offers you the possibility of subscribing to our newsletter. Our newsletter informs you about our offers at regular intervals. Taking photos of events and publishing the photos on the website, on social media channels and in printed media (specifically: catalogues, brochures) for publicity work and to show the activities of Th. Geyer GmbH & Co. KG.
4. LEGAL BASES
Justified interest in accordance with point f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR as well as Sections 22, 23, 24 KUG (Art Copyright Act) and Sections 14, 28 Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG): Publicity work and presentation of the activities of Th. Geyer GmbH & Co. KG. You have the right to object to processing. The objection can be addressed to: firstname.lastname@example.org (though it is possible to make an objection in any other way). It is assumed, however, that the interests of Th. Geyer GmbH & Co. KG in the taking and use of photos will not excessively interfere with the rights and freedoms of natural persons, especially because they have entered the public space, the fact that photos would be taken and used was communicated in advance and at the event, and when taking and publishing the photos it is ensured that no justified interests of the people depicted are violated. If the rights and freedoms of a person depicted are violated under particularly extenuating circumstances, however, we will prevent further processing using suitable measures. Deletion cannot take place in printed media that have already been published. Deletion will take place on the website or on social media channels where technically possible.
5. STORAGE DURATION
The data is deleted five years after creation.
6. CATEGORIES OF RECIPIENTS
- Employees of Th. Geyer GmbH & Co. KG, who need to receive the data as part of performing their work (e.g. IT, other administration departments, marketing).
- Contractors and contract processors (e.g. event photographers, communities, ...) who are involved in processing (taking and publication of photos).
- Tax consultants, authorities (tax office, other authorities) and legal representatives (when enforcing rights or defending claims or as part of official proceedings)
The data is made publicly available online and published on social media channels. The data is published in printed media and is distributed to the public in a limited printing run. The data is not forwarded to recipients who pursue their own purposes with this data. On social media channels, however, it may transpire that the social media service will obtain rights of use to the published data. It is not intended for data to be sent to recipients in an external country (outside of the EU) or to an international organisation. Automated decision-making (profiling) does not take place.
